The BC MBA Games is modelled on the national MBA Games, which were founded in 1988 by Queen’s University. The event is centred around competitions that challenge participants in three main areas: academics, sports and spirit.

The goal of the MBA Games is to foster networking, teamwork and leadership development among future business leaders. It combines academic case competitions, sports events and team-building exercises with the spirit of philanthropy, as teams often raise money for various charities. The charity partner for this year’s BC MBA Games was FarmFolk CityFolk.

The 2024 BC MBA Games at UCW not only highlighted the competitive spirit of the participating schools but also fostered connections among future business leaders. The event concluded with a celebratory awards ceremony, where participants reflected on their experiences, victories and the invaluable lessons learned throughout the competition.

UCW also had a committee which planned the 2024 BC MBA Games.

Enzo Ozawa, Program Lead UCW MBA Games Program, worked with the MBA Games Student Organizing Committee which included:  Co-chairs: Jim Isaac Purackal and Uzma Khan; Case: Diego Bejarano and Tejeshwar Nerwal; Finance: Akshay Parmar; Hospitality: Deepthi Bonda and Gurleen Kaur; Logistics: Shakthi Lakshman and Basil Kooran Wilson; Marcom: Advaitaa Ravicha and Chandini Sundeep; Spirit: Mage (Jose Miguel Valera); and Sport: Pelin Nur Üçkan.

Next up, UCW is hosting the 2025 National MBA Games Jan. 3-5,  featuring top business schools from across Canada.
