There are many ways to pay for your degree at University Canada West. There are scholarships and awards you may qualify for that you do not have to pay back at the end of your studies. If you are currently employed and wish to study alongside your job, your employer may also be able to help you.
Government Student Loan
Government student loans are available to residents of Canada who demonstrate financial need. The Federal and Provincial governments will pay the interest of the loan while the student attends school on a full-time basis. However, repayment of the loan will commence six months after studies end.

StudentAid BC helps eligible students with the cost of their post-secondary education through loans, grants, scholarships and other funding programs. The province of BC offers Canada-BC integrated loans, which allows students to have two lenders administered as a single loan, streamlining the payment process. Funding programs offered include the BC Access Grant, Canada Student Grant and Irving K. Barber B.C. Scholarship Society Program.
Alberta Student Aid offers student loans, grants, scholarships and awards to help eligible students cover costs while they’re in school. Funding programs offered include the Alberta Student Grant, Canada Student Grant, Skills Boost Top-Up to the Canada Student Grant, Sir James Lougheed Award of Distinction and Dr. Gary McPherson Leadership Scholarship.
The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) is a financial aid program that helps eligible students pay for post-secondary education through grants or student loans. OSAP can help students pay for tuition, books and equipment, school fees, living expenses for full-time students and childcare. The amount of support students can receive depends on their education expenses, course load, program hours and personal financial situation.
Manitoba Student Aid provides financial assistance for post-secondary studies in the form of bursaries and grants, as well as provincial and federal loans for eligible students. Funding programs offered include the Canada Student Loan, Manitoba Student Loan, Manitoba Bursary, Skill Boost Top-Up to the Canada Student Grant and Aboriginal Education Award.
The Government of New Brunswick and the Government of Canada are working together to provide student financial assistance. Loans, grants and bursaries are available to help eligible students access and pay for post-secondary education. With one application, applicants will be considered for student financial assistance from both the Government of New Brunswick and the Government of Canada.
The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and Government of Canada are working together to provide financial assistance to residents of the province through StudentAidNL. Both loans and grants are available to help eligible students access and pay for post-secondary education. With one application, StudentAidNL will assess applicants for both federal and provincial financial assistance.
Nova Scotia Student Assistance offers programs and funding tailored for eligible students in post-secondary schools. Through Nova Scotia Student Assistance, students can apply for non-repayable government grants, loans from Nova Scotia and the Government of Canada and the Nova Scotia Forgiveness Loan.
Prince Edward Island Student Financial Services offers loans, grants and bursaries for eligible students pursuing post-secondary education. Funding is available for full-time and part-time students. Funding programs offered include the Canada Student Grant, Canada Student Loan and Community Service Bursary.
The Government of Saskatchewan and Government of Canada are working together to provide student financial assistance to eligible students through the Saskatchewan Integrated Student Loans Program. Loans and grants are available to help full-time and part-time students access and afford post-secondary education. With one application, students will automatically be assessed for student loans and grants from both the Government of Saskatchewan and Government of Canada.
The Government of Yukon offers a number of financial support for eligible students, including grants, loans and scholarships. Loans and grants are available to help full-time and part-time students access and afford post-secondary education. Funding programs offered include the Canada Student Financial Assistance Loan, Canada Student Loan and Yukon Grant.
The Department of Education, Culture and Employment provides financial assistance to eligible Northwest Territories residents to assist with post-secondary education-related expenses. Through the Student Financial Assistance (SFA) Program, eligible students may receive financial support in covering the cost of post-secondary education. Depending on eligibility, SFA may provide assistance with course reimbursement, repayable loans, supplementary grants, remissible loans, basic grants and COVID-19 support grants.
The Financial Assistance for Nunavut Students (FANS) Program is for students attending designated post-secondary institutions and academic programs. FANS offers a number of benefits that are intended to help offset the costs of post-secondary education. The types of assistance available with this program include basic grants, supplementary grants, primary loans and secondary loans. Other scholarships and awards are also available for eligible students already enrolled in post-secondary.
The Government of Quebec offers a number of financial assistance programs for eligible students pursuing post-secondary education. The Loans and Bursaries Program allows students with insufficient financial resources to pursue full-time studies. A number of other financial programs are also available, including the program for international mobility and short stays abroad, foreign government scholarships and other financial aid.
The National Student Loans Service Centre supports students in planning for education, saving, budgeting and exploring student aid and career options. Canada student loans, grants, scholarships and other aids are available for eligible students. Many provinces and territories have agreements with the Government of Canada to provide funding for students.
