University Canada West (UCW) has launched a new short course.
The Project Management for Blockchain Certificate Program is an online, three-module (90-hour) series of courses that prepares students to understand blockchain, project management and how to apply the principles of project management to blockchain and cryptocurrency projects.
The program is the latest addition to UCW’s growing lineup of short courses and micro-credentials focused on technology, business and innovation. The courses are aimed at recent graduates and working professionals and designed to help learners gain valuable, specific skills in a short amount of time.
The impact of blockchain technology is being felt across a range of industries – banking, health care, entertainment and supply management – but there is a global shortage of people trained in blockchain technology, which is quickly becoming the backbone of the new digital economy.
UCW’s Project Management for Blockchain Certificate Program consists of three 30-hour modules. Upon completion of all the modules, students who earn a grade of at least 60% are eligible to write the Foundational Technologies Institute exam to achieve the Blockchain Project Management Professional (BPMP) designation.
The program gives attendees the knowledge, vocabulary and skills needed to successfully manage blockchain and cryptocurrency projects.
UCW now offers a total of four short courses. The other short courses include:
The Blockchain Entrepreneurship Certificate course is an online, three-level educational series focused on preparing graduates to master blockchain and cryptocurrencies, as well as how entrepreneurs can use these technologies.
The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) course provides learners with a foundation in the development and management of CSR strategies, as well as the frameworks used by the world’s largest tech, telecommunications, manufacturing, retail and mining companies.
The Certified Digital Marketing Professional by the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) short course gives recent graduates and working professionals the chance to upskill and become a Certified Digital Marketing Professional. By earning this certification, learners will be able to conduct digital research, set business objectives for campaigns, and establish, develop and optimize digital strategies.
