With less than a month until the competition, University Canada West’s BC MBA Games team is getting ready for action.
UCW announced earlier this year that the University was selected to participate in the 2022 BC MBA Games to compete against teams from Simon Fraser University, the University of Victoria, Thompson Rivers University, Vancouver Island University (VIU) and this year’s host school, the University of British Columbia.
More than 200 students tried out for our team, and after a rigorous selection process, 24 students were chosen for the team, which is headed by Team Captain Sumaiyah Nausheen (Sam) and Vice Captain Kevin Stanley.
Preparations are going full steam ahead for the competition, which runs October 28 to 30 at UBC.
Launched in 2015 by VIU, the BC MBA Games has grown to become the largest gathering of MBA students in British Columbia, with about 125 students participating annually.
Over the course of the three-day competition, teams from each participating university will compete for the coveted BC MBA Games Cup by demonstrating excellence in multiple academic, athletic and team-building challenges in three categories – Case, Spirit and Sports.
