PAC for Business Programs

Mandate

The mandate of the Business Programs Advisory Committee is to provide University Canada West with informed perspectives and independent advice on the content of the curricula and quality of academic programs in business and management. 

Roles and responsibilities

The Committee may:

  • Provide advice on undergraduate and graduate program content to ensure that programs remain relevant to current business, professional and organizational challenges
  • Review and recommend improvements to instructional and course delivery strategies to optimize student learning experiences and outcomes
  • Assist, as appropriate, with the program review process
  • Inform the Dean of Business and Management on any emerging issues or trends that should be addressed in the program curricula or support for student learning
  • Identify opportunities for educational partnerships and strategic linkages between UCW and other universities, governmental organizations, corporate entities, and other bodies and associations nationally and internationally
  • Participate in sub-committees established to deal with specific issues

PAC for the Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication Program

Mandate

The mandate of the BA Advisory Committee is to provide University Canada West with informed perspectives and independent advice on the content of the curricula and quality of the BA in Business Communication program.

Roles and responsibilities

The Committee may:

  • Provide advice on program content to ensure that programs remain relevant to the current media and communications landscape
  • Review and recommend improvements to instructional and course delivery strategies to optimize student learning experiences and outcomes
  • Assist, as appropriate, with the program review process
  • Inform the Chair of Arts and Science on any emerging issues or trends that should be addressed in the program curricula or support for student learning
  • Identify opportunities for educational partnerships and strategic linkages between UCW and other universities, governmental organizations, corporate entities, and other bodies and associations nationally and internationally
  • Participate in sub-committees established to deal with specific issues
