Primary Purpose

Reporting to the manager of Student and Career Services, the Alumni Engagement Coordinator is responsible for developing, supporting and implementing alumni engagement programs. The successful candidate will also be responsible for overseeing the university’s strategic goals to build a lifelong relationship with former students and enrich their university experience long after their graduation.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main contact and facilitator for inbound alumni inquiries
  • Assists with planning and logistics for alumni events and programs including, but not limited to, research of venues, vendor relationships, purchase orders, online registrations, contact information, and preparing briefs
  • Support recruitment, orientation and support for volunteers for alumni events
  • In collaboration with other Student Services staff, ensures all volunteer, alumni activity and contact information is appropriately recorded in support of our Alumni Engagement goals and initiatives
  • Coordinates recognition for volunteers, appreciation gifts, giveaways and alumni-related merchandise as needed
  • Takes a leading role in maintaining and updating alumni data and profiles, and executing other data projects as requested
  • Manages project and team budgets in collaboration with the team’s senior management, administration, and operations staff as needed
  • Plans and facilitates one-on-one and group training sessions for staff and alumni volunteers
  • Organize and manages quarterly alumni newsletter, in collaboration with the Communications team members
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or post-secondary institution
  • Proven success in managing projects and being a team-player
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experiences
