Christina Shorthouse specializes in developing strategic communications solutions for clients in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Drawing on her extensive experience in public relations, communications, advertising and marketing, she finds creative approaches to both challenges and opportunities.

Christina has worked with clients in a variety of fields, from health care, the environment and education, to retail and hospitality. She helps them identify their audiences, determine the best way to reach those audiences and develop effective messages.

After completing her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Literature at Queen’s University, Christina moved to Vancouver, where she has worked in the field for more than 20 years. As an account manager at small, well-established advertising and public relations firms, she worked closely with senior executives to accomplish organizational goals.

A skilled writer and production co-ordinator, Christina has helped organizations to define themselves through press releases, annual reports, newsletters, brochures, communications plans, websites and fundraising case statements. Before becoming an independent contractor and university instructor, Christina was a communications specialist at the Children’s & Women’s Health Centre of BC and manager of communications for the BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre Foundation.
