Dr. Diljot Kaur Soin holds a PhD (Organizational Psychology), MA (Psychology) and an MBA (Human Resource Management) from Punjab University, Chandigarh, India. She is a certified Mental Health Trainer.
She has advanced diplomas in French and Spanish Languages. Dr. Diljot has more than 11 years of experience in research, teaching and training wherein she undertook graduate and post-graduate programs at college and university level. She also has worked in the Training and Development of Administrative Human Resources at a premier Administrative Training Institute of North India.
She is presently sessional faculty with School of Business and Department of Psychology at University of Fraser Valley, Abbotsford, Canada.
She is also working with South-Asian Studies Institute of University of Fraser Valley as Associate Research Fellow. Dr. Diljot is also part of the Alzheimer Society Research Program Team of Department of Gerontology at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she has given consultancy services to few corporates and counseling in varied schools and colleges and presently serving a non-profit organization viz. Moving Forward Family Services Society in Surrey, Canada as volunteer counsellor.
Her teaching and research interests are in the areas of organizational behavior, human resource management, training and development psychology, and mental health.
Dr. Diljot’s teaching philosophy focuses on self-directed experiential learning by developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills amongst the students which leads to practice-based learning
