Long term faculty member and former Arts chair, Dr. Alexandra Pett has taught from coast to coast at Canadian universities and colleges including University Canada West.
Dr. Pett has published articles in scholarly journals on autobiography and life writing, American and Canadian fiction, and pedagogical research in composition. She has published a book called Transforming Selves Under the Gaze of Others: Evolving Traditions in Life Writing. Her current research interest is fiction that inscribes World War I experiences.
She has a BA from Dalhousie University and a PhD and MA from the University of Calgary. As a Fulbright scholar, she has also presented papers and given workshops on writing, communications, and US/Canada relations.
