Dr. Amanpreet Kang has more than 16 years of experience in research, teaching and training. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Panjabi University, India. She has completed MBA and B.Sc. (Honours) from Punjab University, Chandigarh, India. She believes in inter-disciplinary learning and her Ph.D. examines the impact of international food safety standards on food trade from Asian developing countries.
She has taught various subjects in the business management domain across general, specialized and sectoral MBA programmes. Dr. Amanpreet Kang has worked extensively as a faculty, content developer and an examiner in the prestigious e-learning project of Indian government (i.e. Pan-Africa e-Learning Project (https://amityonline.com/amityonline/PanAfrica.aspx). The students from more than 50 African countries were enrolled and taught under this program.
She has successfully supervised several masters’ dissertation, research projects and industry internship projects of students enrolled in undergraduate and post-graduate programmes.
Dr. Kang has worked in the market research industry for more than six years with reputed clients like Caterpillar, Pfizer, Eli Lilly, Walmart, Hallmark and International Greetings across USA, South East Asia and Europe.
She has more than 20 research papers published in peer reviewed journals. She has also contributed management cases and presented the research insights of the projects to global clients as well as in International Conferences.
Dr. Kang is presently a sessional faculty with School of Business at University of Fraser Valley, Abbotsford, Canada. Her teaching and research interests are in the areas of marketing, international business, business research methods and business statistics.
