Cricket
In 2024, UCW debuted its inaugural cricket team which will compete in the LMS Canadian University/College Cricket League! The team consists of 10 core players who compete against 13 other university and college teams across BC.
The 2024 season wrapped with UCW’s team being announced as a joint champion along with CC Lions (Coquitlam College). This great win has qualified UCW for the LMS World Champs in 2025 and 2026.
Last Man Stands (LMS) Canada is the master franchise of the Last Man Stands amateur global cricket league, boasting over 200,000 cricketers worldwide. LMS Canada has grown to include more than 1,000 cricketers in just 2 years and features 3 flagship leagues in BC. LMS is an inclusive league that welcomes anyone including students, alumni, staff and family members to participate.
