Dr. Gitanjaly Chhabra

Biography:

Dr. Gitanjaly Chhabra holds a PhD in English (Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence), a Master of Arts in English, an Executive Program in Management, a Cambridge CELTA and a Bachelor of Arts in English.

Expertise and Experience

For nearly a decade, Dr. Chhabra has taught adults English, Philosophy, Communication skills and Soft skills. She has also been actively involved in curriculum-designing processes for various undergraduate and graduate programs. Apart from academia, Dr. Chhabra has experience in directing teams and organizations as well as teaching individuals how to excel in meeting company objectives.

At University Canada West, Dr. Chhabra teaches English, Communications and Philosophy courses.

Publications and Scholarly Activity

Dr. Chhabra’s interest in language led her to amalgamate the academic fields of English Literature, Linguistics and the Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence. Her PhD focused on deciphering meaning in existence through the spectrum of Simulated Intelligence, and her current research delves further into the Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence; the philosophical issues surrounding the creation, existence and nature of artificially intelligent machines; the indispensability to question the human placement, uniqueness, meaning of life, the role of human existence and the relationship of human entities with other beings.

Dr. Chhabra exhibits her potential to evolve as an academic by mentoring her learners. She acknowledges the uniqueness of each individual and believes in creating an interactive and learner- centred environment. Furthermore, she is highly passionate about her profession and focuses on incorporating inclusion, participation and belongingness in the classroom.
