University Canada West has been added to the People’s Republic of China’s Ministry of Education’s list of recognized universities from across the globe.

“This is a fantastic achievement and something we’ve been working towards for a long time,” said UCW President Brock Dykeman. “We’re grateful that we’ve been added to the list and we look forward to welcoming many more Chinese students to our university.”

Being accredited by the Ministry of Education (MOE) makes it possible for UCW students to transfer to schools or pursue further studies in China, as well as making it easier for our graduates to work in public institutions in China.

The MOE is responsible for the education system in China, certifying teachers, standardizing textbooks and curriculum, and enforcing national education standards. The Ministry ensures that all students are receiving a quality education both domestically and abroad.

UCW is only one of two private universities in British Columbia on the list, which can be found at http://www.jsj.edu.cn/news/1/228.shtml

University Canada West is a business and technology-focused university in the heart of downtown Vancouver. UCW offers MBA, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication and Associate of Arts degrees, as well as preparatory programs.
