University Canada West (UCW) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Doaba Group of Colleges (DGC) in India to allow students to transfer into the third year of UCW’s Bachelor of Commerce degree program.

UCW’s Vice President Academic, Brock Dykeman, was in India for the signing.

“This agreement provides a pathway that allows students to get the best of both worlds,” said Dykeman.

“They get two years of Indian post-secondary education with an emphasis on fundamentals and memorization, as well as two years of Canadian education with an emphasis on critical thinking, research and analysis. “

The agreement applies to DGC students, who have successfully completed the first four semesters of a Bachelor of Business Administration program.

“The Doaba Group of Colleges is a growing post-secondary institution with strong academic leadership and therefore they are a good partner for UCW,” Dykeman said.
