University Canada West took second place at the 2022 BC MBA Games over the weekend.
The competition took place from October 28 to 30 at the University of British Columbia.
The UCW team finished just five points behind the winning team from Simon Fraser University. Host team UBC came in third.
Launched in 2015 by VIU, the BC MBA Games has grown to become the largest gathering of MBA students in British Columbia, with approximately 125 students participating annually.
Over the course of the three-day competition, teams from each participating university competed for the coveted BC MBA Games Cup by demonstrating excellence in multiple academic, athletic and team-building challenges in three categories – Case, Spirit and Sports.
Led by head coaches Urvish Subodh, UCW faculty, and Seth Li, Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships and Projects, the UCW team finished second in the case competition and was the overall winner in the spirit portion of the competition. The sports team won the volleyball round, going undefeated in four games, took second place in table tennis and came in third in dodgeball.
