Due to exceptional circumstances and in order to better support our students, University Canada West is postponing 2020 term start dates by a couple of weeks to give our students extra time to prepare for their studies.
Spring Term 2020
The first day of classes for the Spring Term will be April 20. The start of the term will be delivered online for all students. Students will receive more information about the online class delivery before their term starts. The Spring term will end on July 12.
“We look forward to continuing to support our students throughout their academic journey at UCW,” said UCW President Brock Dykeman. “We are currently developing additional online resources to help all our students succeed.”
SOAR (Student Orientation and Academic Readiness) for the Spring Term will take place online between April 13-17. Student Services will be notifying all incoming students about the changes and will let them know how to register for online orientation if they haven’t done so already.
Since the Spring Term will be delivered online all students, incoming students don’t need to be in Vancouver or even in Canada to start their studies at UCW. Our new students can decide between starting their term online from wherever they are or deferring their start to a later term. Students can email the Registrar’s Office directly at [email protected] to defer.
Summer Term 2020
The Summer 2020 Term will now start on July 20 and will wrap up on Oct. 11.
Fall Term 2020
The Fall 2020 Term starts on Oct. 19 and will end on Dec. 20.
The last two weeks of each term will be for exams.
The UCW campus remains closed during the term break but all services are still available. Current students should email [email protected] with their enquiry and prospective students should email [email protected] to get in touch with one of our students advisors.
