UCW Wise is our institutional repository. The repository was designed to be an open-access space to showcase, share and increase the usage and visibility of the work produced by UCW students, faculty and the surrounding community.

The collection focuses on the institution’s scholarly materials and research endeavours, as well as institutional reports and documents. All items added to the repository are contributed with the explicit permission of the author/creator or when permitted under copyright law.

Why Open Access?
Maintaining the continued accessibility of these materials and increasing the usage and visibility of our community’s work is a priority for the library. The collection is also part of the larger network of ARCA repositories.

What is ARCA?
ARCA is the province-wide network of digital repositories that provides access to faculty and student research output across multiple post-secondary institutions via a cross-repository search layer. It also supports the management of institutional digital assets and showcases British Columbia as a hub for knowledge creation.
UCW Wise was created with support from ARCA and is hosted on ARCA’s BC ELN servers.
