University Canada West representatives met with the Canadian Consulate and BC Trade Commissioners during a recent trip to China.
University President and Vice-Chancellor, Arthur Coren, and the Director of Student Recruitment and Regional Development, Jefferson Lee, visited Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing, China between Mar. 11-18.
“During this trip, we have the great opportunity to visit Canadian Consulate in Guangzhou and BC trade commissioners in Shanghai and Beijing,” said Lee.
“The Canadian government will use their local resources and networks to support UCW in China as one of the quality BC higher education institutions.”
The Canadian Consulate is also expected to invite University Canada West to attend its Fall Canadian International Education Road Show.
“We also visited Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing branches of Wiseway Education Group and EIC Education Group for training. The two agencies have extensive networks of Chinese student resources,” Lee said.
Additionally, April Lu, UCW’s Regional Developer – China, visited schools and agencies in Shenyang, Tianjing, Taian, Jinan and Beijing to promote the university to Chinese students.
University Canada West is located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, British Columbia.
